Heavenly Bed @ Westin KL

We celebrated our 18th Month Anniversary and also my last day at "work" @ Westin KL. Heard a lot about the 'bed',well, all the praises heard, were not of boast. It was true, Westin indeed have got best beds. Rightly named, Heavenly Bed.

Other than that, nothing to really shout about. Their rooms are pretty standard. No LCD TV, bathroom is spacious enough.

Complete meal? Haha, couldn't help it. Look at the price for the condom!!

We both agree that we'd come back, coz it's soo convenient to look for food, movies and shopping, Pavilion is just across the street.

Desperately.

I need a haircut.

The World Is Making Me Fat

I spent RM100 on healthy foodies and snackies at Cold Storage last nite. Since I've been complaining to the whole world that I've put on weight, and how fat, and how ugly it makes me feel - well, I thought I might need to do something about my weight.

I bought POST breakfast cereal, Pristine apple yogurt coated muesli bar and Weight Watchers Apple Crumble oven baked cereal bar. These are my fav brands back in Uni days. It's damn expensive here! Eating healthy and staying fit comes with Expensive price.damn.

Lets see how long I can last eating healthily.

Oooh..I bought some chocolates too...as a reward for myself :-)

Bye Bye Burger. See you next month.

Sweet dreams

Woke up at 4am today. My brain is actively working, makes it difficult for me to fall asleep, and worse it is working in my sleep too- forcing me to get up at this odd hours.

Started having this problem since my school days, especially exam period. And when I started working in real world, it never fails to keep me 'awake'.

I remembered back then in Australia, that 2 months was the best ever. I managed to fall asleep, almost instantly, and that was the time where I was stress-free, exam-free and busy travelling. Aaa...wish I could go baack time - just to sleep.

My Son

During dinner, AgentK make fun of our unborn child. He gave "him" weird name, and apparently he walks and talks funny too. How sad.

Son, if you're reading this like 20 years later, I swear I didnt gave you that "name".

Life O Life

Havent been blogging for ages.
Lotsa great things happened.
Besides being happily engaged, and to be married - hmm.not so soon, but thinking abt spending my life with Agentk makes me soo happy, I cant sleep at nite :-0
Also a change in career- gives me better opportunities, better career enhancement. Living life, and loving it.
Attended lotsa wedding, love them all. Makes me wanna "run" away from planning mine. Seriously, being a chi-mui is already tiring. And I can never imagine how it would be like being "the" BRIDE.
Put on some weight, as usual. It makes me sad, but doesnt stop me from eating. Damn.

Sitting here in my office and enjoying a hot cup of coffee, doing what I love, is a real blessing.

The Ring :-)

Looking back, I guess, he had always wanted to marry me. *perasan mode* We are together for a beautiful 17 months, and one month passed our engagement, Agentk has already bought me 3 rings! :-)

This was the first one. A Christmas present :-)

Second one was for our 1st Year Anniversary, bought while we were in Hong Kong for Anniversary trip :-)

And, of coz the engagement ring :-) Custom made "Bvlgari" with Diamond Quality Certificate!! *yea,i just realised that not all diamonds have certificate, so if you're looking for quality, make sure it comes with the cert*

And now, we are finalizing our Wedding Band. We basically walk into all the jewelry shop in KL, and we both agreed on ONE. The perfect one on our mind now is none other than *Blink Blink ... Cartier :-)*

Will upload picture once we get it :-)

The Day I Stood Still

6 days. 6 freaking days of staying at home and rot myself to death. It was all because of that Thursday morning. That morning where i thought it was a great day, that morning where I thought i'd go drinking with my galfriends at night, but no no..it was that morning where I stepped into that pothole, in the office and twisted my ankle! And ended up looking like this:

I'm sooo bored at home now. Can someone please take me shopping??????

Burning Midnight Oil

Surprisingly, not many people know that I love TVB dramas. I can watch for 24 hours non-stop. Ok, abit exaggerating, 18 hours. I spent lotsa money buying pirated dvds because I don’t know where to download (coz I can’t read Chinese) and internet connection sucks. My main source is SS2 dvd shop and Batu Ferringhi, Penang. And now I have my colleague who passed me her downloaded videos. Yay. Save me some buckaroo.

Currently watching this. Burning Flame 3. Six episodes to go. Should be able to complete by tomorrow nite.

I am also watching Boston Legal (1,2,3). Thumbs UP! Going to Penang again next week. Wee whooo...DVD uncle here I come!!

Boring afternoon

I'm gonna be broke this month. Running low on all these........

Being women dont come cheap

The Cave

If you're a couple. And you enjoy being alone, The Cave sounds like a good place.
You will have your own *cave*. I like to call it the *lubang*.
You can do whatever you want in that lubang of yours.
No, I'm lying.
Yes, you have your own room, but I reckon it's too small.
I had problems fitting my huge ass. I cant even cuddled while dining.
How sad.
Anyways, I like the food. And I like the idea that they provide you scaft.
Guessed they figured that you cant hug your partner to get the natural warmness. How thoughtful. That makes me wonder, issit clean?

This is not a food review. I have no intention in reviewing anything. It's personal opinion, just to fill up a page in this blog.

JUMP

When AgentK told me he wanna to booked this show – I went like..What is it about? I know nothing about the show, and I have no idea what was it all about. But one thing I knw for sure – if AgentK heard about it, and he said it’s good. So it should be good. I’ve always trust my man J

JUMP was staged in Concert Arena of Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil on 8-08-09. AgentK bought the tix 3 hours before the show, and we managed to sit at the front row. Don’t ask me why, and don’t ask me what happened during the show. Let’s just say that, I was part of the show :-p

Jump is an unusual show made up of an exhilarating display of the Korean fighting art of Tae Kwon Do, acrobatics and sword fights crossed with a simple sitcom.

Set in an average Korean home, the family members are all surprisingly agile. They include a grandfather, a drunken uncle and a karate-chopping mother. Each is a specialist in a martial art and they enjoy challenging each other. There is also the Son In Law and cute looking Daughter. She kicked ass!

We had fun. Lotsa fun. If you’re a acrobatics and martial arts fan, loves comedy, mine and dance, you’ll love JUMP.

Originally called Crazy Family, Jump, performed by the Korean company Yegam, was several years in development before it premiered in Seoul in 2002. It has since toured internationally, taking a Comedy Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2006

The stage - less than 10 feet away from us

She played The Daugther. She looked like a DOLL. A doll that kicked ass.

By the way, JUMP is from the same producer of BREAKOUT. There is no dialogue but viewers will have no problem as comedy, like music, is a universal language.

Thomson Airways Safety Video 2009

Absolutely brilliant!!!

Orphan

11.21pm - Looking at this picture gives me goosebumps already. No joke. This movie better be good.

See you at the preview tomorrow.

The Daily Grind

If you love burgers. You can get any types of burgers here at Daily Grind. Recommended by Alvin, and we weren't expecting anything. The outcome - we were very happy! Burgers are awesome, and service is good. We were pretty stuffed with just a burger and some sausages. Will definitely go back to try the rest of the selection.

Each patty contains 180g of pure meat bound together with fresh eggs. Individually weighed, the patties are then moulded into shape and left to rest and chill.

Secret Island - Still a Secret

Wow...how time flies!!!! 17 days! It's getting closer :-)

Monday, August 3, 2009

Secret Island

Yay, I basically know that we are going to Sabah! I managed to guess with minimum of clues provided by AgentK. Somehow, I just knw it! It happened before, when Hun was planning for my birthday getaway in Avilion. We read each other like a book :-) And often, I tell AgentK that there is no way that he could ever surprise me. First of all, he cant lie. Secondly, I know him so well, whatver he does, could not escape my detective instict. But I do give credit to him for being able to plan everything - amazingly well. I dont have to worry or even think of anything. All I do, is sit back and relax and be pampered by him :-)

Even tho, I knw that we are flying to Sabah, AgentK is not telling me which secret island he taking me to. And I promised him not to google. * I regretted making such promise*

So, it's 28 days and counting!!!

Anyways, this is what I have in mind.

I swear - I only googled one pic :-)

Counting down.....

Haven't been blogging much, simply dont have the time to do so. Been busy working and pak tohing. Even when I did have the time, I'd rather catch up with sleep.

Was looking at the some old photos and geez..I've aged alot, also all my friends are getting married, almost everyone in the pictures are getting married or not already married - which I'm happy for them. Age wise I'm not what anyone would consider old. But just yesterday it hit me how much my attitudes about love, money and life in general change in just a few short years. However...I do believe you're only as old as you act...

Ooh yea, I have something to look forward to in September. Hunnie said "we are going on holiday!!" But...he is not telling me where we are going. I tried manja-ing, i tried merajuk-king, but all these tricks aren't working. He did that to me on my last birthday - as in keeping a secret plan and all, and he is doing to me again. Why are you torturing me baby?

Though he did told me some clues....but very generic ones which doesnt even qualified as "clue"...like 6D5N, breezy....so, I guess we're going to some beach resort?

“Relationships-of all kinds-are like sand held in your hand. Held loosely, with an open hand, the sand remains where it is. The minute you close your hand and squeeze tightly to hold on, the sand trickles through your fingers. A relationship is like that. Held loosely, with respect and freedom for the other person, it is likely to remain intact. But hold too tightly, too possessively, and the relationship slips away"

Thank you Ram for sharing.

Because.....

Because I have yet to fall in love with my best friend, you’re my one and only.
Because we have 3 beautiful years of friendship, and trust
Because you fall in love with me, for me, and you bring out the best in me.
Because you make fun of me and tease me, and I’m your biggest challenge.
Because you find it hard to make a comeback :-p
Because I find it hard to be angry with you.
Because you'll laugh at me.with me. all the time
Because you sing to me even though I begged you not to.
Because you know me so well, you tickles my heart and blew me away
Because you’re so generous, to my family and friends
Because you make everyone around you so comfortable
Because you have the biggest heart, sincere and honest
Because I have never loved anyone the way I love you
Because you make me smile, laugh and cry – for all the good reasons
Because we can talk about anything and laugh about silly things
Because you think you're Leon Lai and Keannu Reeves got his acting talent from you
Because you put up with my sarcasm and crappy mood
Because you don’t stop me from shopping and you actually ended up buying me things
Because you took up salsa for me, and gave up taichi.
Because you accompany me to salsa clubs even tho you’re bored.
Becasue you survived Salsa for one year.
Because you bring me wine, chocolates and roses.
Because you wrote your first blog post. And it's for me.
Because you think I’m the one, so are you to me.
I love you because you’re you and you’re what I’ve waited for my whole life.
And most importantly, you were smart enough to fall in love with me :-)

A Royal Celebration: Hun Dearie’s Birthday

Hun’s birthday is on 16 Mar. And 16 Mar 2009 is her first birthday since we started this beautiful journey of love.

And I wanted it to be as memorable as possible. I wanted to make it a surprise. I wanted it to be fabulous. I wanted it to be romantic. I wanted her feel like she’s in heaven. All in all, I just wanted it to be perfect… for she deserves nothing less.

Initially, I really didn’t know how I was gonna pull it off… the surprise part was my biggest challenge. I’m really bad at lying and I really don’t know how to plan a birthday party or birthday getaway for her, without her finding out about it beforehand. The task was not any easier with Hunnie’s sharp instinct, and ability to sniff out any secret plans of mine.
So I decided to come clean (well, almost…) and told her that I’m taking her somewhere nice on her birthday’s eve and she’ll have to pack clothes for a night. So, she knew then. I didn’t have to lie or pretend after that, I only have to refuse to tell her where we are going! Muahahahaha!!

Over the course of the next two weeks, Hunnie, with her curious nature, kept asking me asking me about where I was taking her. She asked me when we are out together, she asked me when we are talking over the phone, she smses me… she wouldn’t give up. But so was I. Heehee… I was determined to keep my mouth shut for as long as I can. And on many occasions, I almost fell for her innocent ‘strategic’ guided-questions… answers to which can build up clues to where I was taking her. Very smart baby… and I have to confess that I did fell for a few of the questions. Fortunately, I still managed to keep her guessing afterwards. :P

Apart from her curiosity, there was also another reason why Hunnie kept asking me, a reason that I only got to know on Hunnie’s birthday’s eve. The place that I was taking her to was also the place that she had in mind to take me to on my birthday (two weeks later). She was afraid to book it as her sixth sense somehow told her that I might be taking her to this same place too!!! It was place that we had never mentioned to each other before… but somehow we zoomed-in on the same location. (Felt like we are so meant for each other, sweetheart).

Then came her birthday pressie. I had to plan in advance. I wanted something that’s meaningful… something that would reflect the beauty of this wondrous relationship that we are having, and for the time to come. I asked around for ideas, searched the internet, flipped some books and magazines, but most of them just doesn’t feel right. After some thinking… and finally I decided to have a picture of us hand-drawn.

I had it sketched out with strict instructions and once the drawing was finished, handed it in for framing. I chose to have the drawing be extended with double layer of borders, allowing me space to inscribe a personal message for baby, a message from my heart. I had it wrapped and kept at my home until the day of our getaway.

During the run up to Hunnie’s birthday, I was also hit by what I would term as an “impulse action” – for it was unplanned and I just followed my feelings at that time. But there is no regret. I remembered Hunnie’s love of bags and one of them were the ones from award-winning designer Anya Hindmarch of London. At that very moment, I decided to get her one. For I know she would love it, and that was all that matter. Went out that very night after work and purchased it.

Hunnie was blessed with many good friends and close colleagues. Thus, it was no surprise that many of them also decided to celebrate her birthday for her. Since, I had already booked the dates for her birthday’s eve and birthday, with some coordination, we have her colleagues celebrated her birthday on 13 Mar at Brussels, Jaya One.

Our celebration then continued with her friends on 14 Mar with dinner at Tamarind Hills and a night out party at Quattro.

Then come Mar 15. Woke up early, packed and went to fetch Hunnie. On our way to the destination, Hunnie still haven’t given up and kept asking me where I was taking her. Nor was she willing to wait until we reached the destination. I again fell for some of her innocent ‘strategic’ guided-question. As she got more clues and as we move closer to the destination, she started laughing and laughing and laughing. By then, I knew she already knows where I was taking her. So smart!! And part of the reason that she laughed so much was also her sixth sense was accurate (deciding not to book) and that we both had in mind the same place that we wanna bring each other to on our birthdays! Talk about destiny…

I took Hunnie this beautiful place in Port Dickson, Avillion.

Unfortunately, the hotel booking system was down and check-in was a pain and it has to be done manually. We finally got our room after close to 2 hours of waiting. However, it was worth the wait, the moment we saw the room and its beautiful surroundings.
I then took Hunnie to the heavenly Avispa, under the pretext to checking out the place. Little does she know that I had booked a 3 and a half hours aVi Signature wellness spa session for her… I’m glad she loved it.

After the spa, we chilled out at the Spa-guests-only lounge, located just above the Avispa building, watching sunset. It was an unforgettable experience.

Dinner was at the hotel’s Crow’s Nest.

The next day, after a sumptuous breakfast, we just chilled, relaxed and took our to time to enjoy the surrounding areas of the hotel and it’s waterfront.

It was an unforgettable experience for me… being able to spend time with my dearest and celebrating her birthday in such a lovely charming place. But more importantly, the entire birthday experience is for my Hunnie.

Hun sweetheart, hoped you truly had a memorable one.
